Cool Co₂mmute

Our employee offset program associated with CO₂ emissions when commuting to and from work.

Climate change is one of the most serious threats facing global society. We all need to make every effort to reduce our emissions as much as we can. As part of Mission Zero, InterfaceFLOR is actively working to reduce emissions wherever it can via energy efficiency programmes and increasing the use of renewable energy usage.

In appreciating the emissions generated via staff travel, several InterfaceFLOR facilities have initiated a voluntary program for employees to offset the CO₂ associated with their commutes to and from work.

This initiative allows associates to calculate the CO₂ emissions generated by their daily commute to work and then to calculate and meet the cost of offsetting these emissions by investing in projects designed to keep carbon from entering the atmosphere.

InterfaceFLOR in Europe will offset projects using Climate Care, who also provide the offsets for our Cool Carpet® service offering.

In recognising the emissions generated by employees on their daily commute to and from work InterfaceFLOR in Europe will contribute to the total costs of each employee annual offset costs per employee.
