Senior Vice President, Market Strategy and Sustainability
Karin Mortenson Laljani is Senior Vice President, Market Strategy and Sustainability at InterfaceFLOR EMEAI, a division of US-based Interface Inc., a global leader in the manufacture of environmentally responsible modular floor coverings.
Karin’s responsibilities span marketing strategy, corporate communications and PR, design and development, innovations strategy as well as business development and sustainability for InterfaceFLOR. She also heads up InterfaceRAISE, the company's sustainability consulting and education business.
A member of the Interface executive team reporting to the CEO and President, Karin has been with the company since September 2003.
Karen started her career in export promotion for the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Krak Publishers, later moving to ICI plc, the manufacturer of speciality chemicals and ingredients to the cosmetic, food, textile and automotive industries. She stayed with ICI for 14 years in strategic marketing roles, ending her career there in charge of global e-Commerce. Karin's geographic responsibility ranges from the Nordics, through central Europe, to North and Latin America.
A member of the UK Institute of Directors and Danish Society of Economists, Karin is also a Trustee Director of TVE (Television for the Environment) and the author of articles and book contributions on the topic of sustainable marketing.
A Danish national, Karin is married with a young son.
