Interface Launches Global Re-brand

Sustainability Pioneer Gears up for Mission Zero.

Interface Inc., a worldwide leader in the design and production of environmentally responsible modular floor coverings and other textiles, is to re-brand its global operations under one corporate name, “INTERFACE.” The fabric’s division will be known as InterfaceFABRIC and the modular flooring division as InterfaceFLOR.

The re-brand will unite all of Interface’s companies worldwide under one brand name, making them more instantly recognisable and communicating the company’s core values more effectively.

The re-brand is the ideal vehicle by which to integrate and communicate Interface’s bold ‘Mission Zero’ initiatives, which aim to see the global firm achieving a zero environmental footprint by 2020.

InterfaceFLOR, whose European manufacturing is at Halifax, West Yorkshire, Craigavon, Ireland, and Scherpenzeel in Holland, has long been a pioneer in sustainability and has won numerous prestigious awards for its environmental achievements.

“Mission Zero is part of our corporate DNA. It shows how we intend to achieve our goals and aligns all our businesses with our existing sustainability mission. Our re-brand will help to eliminate any confusion that exists about our various brand names and reinforce the sustainability ethic that is central to all our businesses and services,” said InterfaceFLOR CEO in Europe Lindsey Parnell.

“We have an unrivalled track record of progress to reduce emissions, waste and landfill, and to recycle old products, re-use materials and source renewable energy,” he continued.

Europe

Throughout Europe, the company will be known as “InterfaceFLOR” for its commercial modular carpets. The Heuga product ranges will remain an important part of its overall product portfolio under the InterfaceFLOR brand. Heuga Home Flooring, the residential business, will eventually become part of the overall re-brand, but in the meantime will be focusing on creating a wider consumer awareness of, not only the company, but also the progress towards a sustainable future.

InterfaceFLOR is a world leader in responsible sustainable manufacturing, providing interior solutions through the creative design of modular carpet for the commercial and residential markets.

Recent awards won by InterfaceFLOR include: The Queens Award for Sustainable Development in the UK, with a BRE 'A' rating on almost all of its products; the main UK Business Commitment to the Environment Award (BCE) and in France, the Janus Design and Innovation Award for the new product, StraightForward.

The move to the new branding on Interface marketing materials will be gradual, so that unnecessary waste is avoided. The re-branding includes a new company logo that will become evident on packaging, products and facilities in due course.
